Carmina Sizing Guide: UK Sizes and Width Labels

Read Carmina’s size and width labels without confusing a chart conversion with a recommendation for a particular last.

Carmina states that its shoes are manufactured in UK sizes, including in the guide linked from its US English storefront. Start by confirming the system attached to the size you are reading, then consult the relevant chart and exact product details.

This Carmina sizing guide explains how to use the manufacturer's references. It does not prescribe a size change from another brand or claim that every Carmina last will fit alike. The source is Carmina's official size guide, reviewed in our October 14, 2026 research.

Check the size system before the number

A familiar-looking number can cause confusion when shopping across storefronts or reading secondhand listings. Ask whether the number is the shoe's UK label or a seller's converted size. Record the answer with the model and last name.

When using the manufacturer's chart, select the men's or women's section first. Keep the row within that section. Do not transfer a conversion from one section to the other or infer a rule for another manufacturer.

Carmina supplies its conversions in an official chart image. Consult that chart alongside the current product listing when choosing which labeled size to discuss with the seller.

Read width letters in Carmina's context

Width letters are especially easy to misread across brands. In Carmina's published width chart, its standard category is labeled EE. The same row shows UK F and US D. Its narrow category is Carmina E, and its wide category is Carmina EEE. These are the manufacturer's chart mappings, not universal measurements. See the Carmina width chart.

Do not interpret Carmina EE using a different brand's lettering alone. Also check the width offered for the exact model: a chart explaining width categories does not establish product availability.

Identify the last before comparing fit

Once you understand the size and width labels, find the last listed for the shoe. A last name gives your fitting question a specific subject. It does not, on its own, prove that you should order the same size as a different pair.

Prepare a reference with brand, model, last, size system, size, width, and actual fit notes. “Comfortable across the forefoot, secure at the heel” tells an adviser more than “fits normally.” Our introduction to shoe lasts explains this approach.

Ask a question the seller can answer

Give the seller the exact Carmina model you want and a well-described reference pair. Ask them to confirm the last, size label, width, and available options. If a listing and chart appear inconsistent, resolve that inconsistency before ordering.

You can keep your reference pairs in My Shoes. Preserve the original labels there rather than replacing them with a conversion. That leaves you with a reliable starting point when comparing your next purchase.

Put your fit knowledge to work

Use shoes that already fit as a starting point for your next pair.
